I’ve heard Chiffchaffs here in South Wales too. Loads today, before that just the odd call last week so little that I wasn’t absolutely certain I hadn’t misheard a great tit. Being able to tell the difference between those two was a really gateway to learning birdsong.

Yes, I've realised that what I thought were Great Tits are in fact Chiffchaffs. Loads here in the Forêt de Soignes just by Brussels.
Chiffchaffs calling yesterday on my woodland road in County Durham.
Lovely post. I always send a ‘Happy Chiffchaff Day’ text on hearing my first! It was 6th March this year, here in Worcestershire.
Yes, I have also been hearing them up here in Yorkshire too - lovely :-)
I heard my first one yesterday in the woods of the nearby nature reserve here in Exeter. A real lift.
My Dad's heard chiffchaffs up here in North Yorkshire from last week too. Really enjoying these posts.
Sadly the link to the article on vets and parrots doesn't work without a subscription.
Ah, I hadn't clocked that. Thanks.
I think you can get access to this one by signing up (without paying). But I'll amend to make that clear.
