I heard a cuckoo along the Itchen on Friday, Charlie, and I was over the moon. A swan turned up at the most prescient moment, so that I could video him having a voluptuous bath, while the cuckoo sung in the background. Otherwise I'd have been videoing the rushes instead, to capture the cuckoo. Also, it was indeed a Ceti's Warbler that I had heard the previous week - thank you!

Not much chance of hearing a Cuckoo her in North London I fear. Another interesting post - who would have thought that the Cuckoo and Roadrunner are related. Fascinating.
