The first we knew we had a woodpecker visitor was a hole in our new rowan tree. Now it is a regular daily visitor to our sunflower heart feeder. You can see the pecking order by the number of goldfinches et al sitting on nearby branches waiting for the woodpecker to satisfy its hunger!
