It’s fun to experience all the different birds you come across. Most often they are birds I would not expect to see where I live (Canada). It would be useful if you could include a small map showing their habitat. I was reluctant to search for “Great Tits”, out of fear of how it might change the algorithm for my advertisements and suggestions...
Thank you Mark, and you are wise to search which caution on this one. That's a good point about the birds' distribution - I tend to cover birds that are common in the UK, or in part of the UK. But often they are spread throughout Europe and Asia, and (occasionally) North America.
I'll start including a link to some info on their distribution where I can.
We had a pair of great tits (I know, I know) at the rescue centre last year and they were so vocal that the maracas sound was never not in my head. All. Spring.
Bird watching really snuck up on me. One day I’m trying to stretch my budget to visit Cancun *and* Miami. Then somehow in a blink I’m the guy waking up before the birds so I can write down what I see.

It is sneaky like that. Some good things come with age. :-)
